(She was blonde in the novel - matching more what Meg usually looks like in the musical)
A costume mixing masquerade ball with ballet - specifically Odette (the white swan) from Swan Lake. I was influenced by Sakizou’s detailed Rococco-themed costumes.
Drawings I did of two music-based super-heroes (okay, Jem wasn’t really a ‘hero’ but she had magic earrings… and the same catchphrase as Aquaman.) who sum up a whole decade each.
Jem of Jem and the Holograms - just IS the 80’s.
Val Hallen of the Justice Friends (from Dexter’s Lab) - as 90’s as you can get, with the most totally radical 90’s surfer dude accent.
Can’t wait for that Robert Downey Jr. Meets the Justice Friends movie next year. I think it’s called the Avengers.
This was a picture I did from a prompt about FFIX characters landing in a more ‘modern’ setting. Kuja lands in Midgar, at Wall Market (wearing a Honeybee Inn costume)
A quick sketch of Estella from Great Expectations ~ I’ve just finished reading it on my Kindle, all fifty-something chapters and both endings… I can see why the movies usually leave some bits out :)
For some reason I picture all of Dickens’ books taking place in Ankh-Morpork, go figure.
I think Great Expectations would make a good Discworld novel (with a few tweaks of course…)
More fanart, this time from a novel - (the book version of) Mr. Teatime from Hogfather.
I say ’ book version’ because in the mini-series-film-thing his glass eye was black - in the book, it’s greyish white. Also, for some reason he’s vaguely American in the film, and in the book I assumed he was meant to be vaguely English like everyone else in Ankh-Morpork. Film!Teatime reminds me more of Johnny Depp’s Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
But I digress.
Here’s how I pictured Mr. Teatime looking. He’s a very fun (and very insane) villain, in a series with some great villains, and some great characters overall.
